The résumé cannot tell you who you are

Ephesians 2:10

You are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

The résumé cannot tell you who you are. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. Your worth was not built by performance, approval, age, appearance, or achievement. Jesus Christ is the One who names you. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
